Blog Sree Vijaykumar | From the Editor's Desk At a panel discussion on fundraising at an event yesterday, one of the questions asked was if bigger Indian startups acquiring smaller Indian startups was a viable exit option for investors of the smaller Indian startups. Unlike Silicon Valley, where Google, Oracle, Apple, etc are known to gobble up several startups every year, the bigger Indian startups themselves are well 'startups', with no clear path to profitability. They themselves are reliant on future fund-raising from the big VCs and international hedge funds (whose priorities could change if the reign of cheap money in the US ends) for their own survival, so unlikely to be a sustainable exit option for the smaller guys - Comment | |
